This Privacy Policy explains how Release Point Ventures ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Custom Promos application (the "App") for Shopify, and this website, custompromos.app. It applies to the merchants who install the App.
When you install the App, Shopify provides and we store:

We do not request, receive, or store any customer or buyer personal data — no names, emails, addresses, or order details. The App does not use customer or order API scopes.
If you contact us for support, we receive whatever information you choose to include in that message (such as your email address and the details of your question).
custompromos.app uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand general site traffic. This sets cookies that collect standard analytics data such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed. This is separate from the App and does not involve your store's data.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Store connection data (the Session record described above) is held in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase. The App is hosted on Railway. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encrypted at rest by our hosting providers. We limit access to this data to what is necessary to operate the App.
We share information only with service providers that help us run the App and website:
We do not otherwise sell, rent, or share your information, except where required by law.
We retain your store connection data only while the App is installed. When you uninstall the App, we delete that data in response to Shopify's uninstall and shop-redaction webhooks. Because we store no customer personal data, customer data-request and customer-redaction requests have no customer records for us to return or erase.
You can request deletion of your data at any time by uninstalling the App or by contacting us.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
The App is a business tool for merchants and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, take additional steps as required by law.
